infrastructure partners. To achieve its aims, the company is
sourcing engineering capability, construction skills and equipment
in Australia and internationally, including China.
In addition to local consulting expertise from world class
organisations such as Worley Parsons and Parsons Brinckerhoff,
Yilgarn has the support of, and signed agreements with, two of
China's largest engineering contractors - China Railway Engineering
Corporation (CREC) in alliance with China National Overseas
Engineering Corporation (COVEC) and China Communication
Construction Corporation (CCCC, formed through merge of China
Harbor Engineering Corporation and China Road & Bridge
Corporation), in alliance with First Design Institute of Navigation
Engineering (FDINE).
Yilgarn also has investment agreements underpinning 25 per cent of
the equity required for the project with five major Chinese
companies, China Railway Materials Commercial Corporation (CRM)
Sinosteel Corporation, Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation

Sinosteel Corporation (Sinosteel)

Sinosteel is China's biggest iron ore trading and investment company. It is engaged in the international development, mining and processing of metallurgical mineral resources; trading and logistics of metallurgical raw materials and manufacturing major equipment for the steel industry worldwide. Sinosteel has a Joint Venture Agreement with Midwest Corporation - Yilgarn Infrastructure's foundation customer for the Mid West Rail and Oakajee Port Project. This agreement covers Midwest's two major projects, the Weld Range Haematite project and the Koolanooka Magnetite project and allows for joint implementation of exploration, feasibility studies and an off-take agreement.

China Railway Group Limited (CRGL) and China National Overseas Engineering Corporation (COVEC)

CRGL is China's biggest railway design and construction group
and is also one of the world's largest transport infrastructure
providers.
CRGL is ranked as one of the Fortune TOP 500 enterprises and has
undertaken high profile railway projects, including the design and
construction of Tibetan railway, the design and construction of the
world's first commercial magnetic levitation transit system in
Shanghai, Da Qin Line heavy hauling railway construction and the
design of the Beijng-Shanghai high speed rail.
Yilgarn has signed an agreement with CRGL through its subsidiary
COVEC to undertake the engineering and construction feasibility
studies of railway infrastructure in the Mid West region of Western
Australia. CRGL and COVEC are working with Western Australian-based
Parsons Brinckerhoff on Yilgarn's rail project.

China Communications Construction Corporation (CCCC)

Yilgarn has signed an agreement with CCCC (in association with the First Design Institute of Navigation Engineering and China Harbour) to undertake the engineering and construction feasibility studies of port infrastructure for the Mid West iron ore region of Western Australia. CCCC is working with Western Australian-based WorleyParsons on the Oakajee Port project.
One of the world's biggest infrastructure contractors specialising
in marine engineering and port construction and other
transportation infrastructure, CCCC is China's largest port design
and construction company and a leading enterprise in road, bridge
construction and design.
尤岗和中交公司签订协议由中交公司（及其所属子公司中交第一航务工程局有限公司）承担Oakajee港口项目工程、建造可行性研究。中交公司在该项目中的澳方合作伙伴为WorleyParsons工程公司。

Ansteel is China's second largest iron and steel company with steel production of 16 mtpa in 2006 anticipated to increase to 40 mtpa by 2011. Ansteel is a 50:50 joint venture partner with Gindalbie Metals in Western Australia's Mid West region developing the mine's cornerstone Karara Magnetite Project.
